Maternal and Child Health Project (MCHP) Dang conducted its first Rural Municipality Project Advisory Committee (RMPAC) Meeting on 5th July 2019. The meeting aimed to share plans and progress of MCHP to Rural Municipality Project Advisory Committee (RMPAC). The meeting was honored by the presence of Mr. Sahajram Yadav Chairperson of Gadhawa Rural Municipality, who also assumed the chairmanship of the meeting. Similarly, health coordinator and education and women and child development desk-incharges from Gadhawa Rural Municipality Office, health post in-charges and journalist of gadhawa municipality had their esteemed presence in the meeting. Nonetheless, from the end of AMDA MINDS Nepal, donor and implementation partner of MCHP, Program Officer Mr. Pradeep Pant also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, MCHP Program Manager Mr. Rajendra Ruchal presented briefly progress of MCHP and the Yearly Action plan. He also shared the key findings from baseline survey and emphasized some gaps, issues and challenges on MCH status of Gadhawa RM. Discussion was mainly focused on the construction site of CHU and ORC and its legal documentation. Mr. Pradip Raj Pant PO from AMDA MINDS Nepal emphasized land issues on Community Health Unit (CHU) and Out-reached Clinic (ORC) construction site.
Rural Municipality Chairperson Mr. Shahaj Ram Yadav said as they are busy in closing of fiscal year and he ensured that they will provide legal documentation of construction site very soon. Health coordinator of Gadhawa Rural Municipality enquired about the equipment to be supplied by AMDA Nepal to four Health post and requested to provide as soon as possible so that they can have their plan from their site. Mr. Sahajram Yadav ensured that the whole team of gadhawa RM will support and coordinate for each and every activity of AMDA Nepal for coming days and concluded the program with vote of thanks.
