Message from Chairperson
AMDA Nepal, established in 1989 by dedicated Nepalese medical professionals, stands as a beacon of affordable, quality healthcare services aimed at enhancing lives across our nation. As a national NGO, our primary mission is to deliver healthcare excellence, fostering an environment where every individual can thrive.
Affiliated with AMDA Japan and interconnected with numerous other AMDA chapters worldwide, our reach extends beyond borders. We have been steadfast in our commitment to providing essential healthcare to Bhutanese refugees in eastern Nepal and engaging in international missions, particularly in regions housing refugees and returnees. Moreover, we stand ready to offer emergency relief during times of natural disasters and epidemics, offering solace and support to those in dire need.
At the heart of our endeavours lie our flagship institutions: AMDA Hospital in Damak and Siddhartha Children and Women Hospital in Butwal. These centres of excellence ensure that communities in their vicinity receive top-notch healthcare services. Recognizing the pivotal role of midlevel health personnel, we have established AMDA Health Institutes in Damak and Butwal, empowering local healthcare professionals to better serve their communities.
Our impact resonates throughout Nepal, with successful project implementations spanning across provinces, thanks to fruitful collaborations with various INGOs. None of our achievements would have been possible without the unwavering support of our donors and partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Shigeru Suganami, AMDA Group President, and all those who have stood by us, enabling us to make meaningful contributions to society. Together, we shall continue to forge ahead, striving for a healthier, brighter future for all.
