Program/Health:
- AMDA participated in International Children’s Day at Beldangi organized by BRCF on 20th November, 2023. The event included cultural program such as Dance, Poetry and Singing. Also art of children were displayed on the stage with the theme: For Every Child, Every Right. The art were also rewarded with gifts.
- AMDA joined in meeting of CBOs during visit of Menique Amarasinghe, UNHCR at Beldangi and Sanischare on 21st November, 2023. The discussion was on current scenario of settlements in different sectors such as Health, Education, Protection, challenges and activities to be planned for 2024.
- AMDA participated in Coordination meeting with Stakeholders at Damak organized by LWF on 22nd November, 2023 with participation of UNHCR, RCU, IRD, Municipality(Damak and Pathri-Sanischare), Ward, SMC and CBOs. The updates of Bhutanese Refuees from each stakeholders with current challenges were exchanged.
- AMDA supported in orientation to newly elected BRWF members and SMC members on 23rd and 24th of November respectively organized by UNHCR(Ms.Sangita Khatiwada) at Damak. The brief information on all terms used in settlements, UNHCR activities, stakeholders activities, roles of each post holder with discussion on it was done. The newly elected BRWF members were also oriented on Gender Based Violence and reporting mechanism in settlements to enhance their capacity in case identification and referral.
CBOs/SMC
- BRCF organized International Children’s Day at Beldangi with active participation of newly elected members and incentive staffs from both Beldangi and sanischare.
- CBOs and SMC participated in Coordination meeting with Stakeholders at Damak organized by LWF and shared the challenges and issues to respective stakeholders.
- BRWF of both settlements actively participated in 16 Days Activism on 25th November with coordination of both Damak and Pathri-Sanischare Municipality.
