Program/Health:
- Psychosocial Counselor started the services in both settlements and provided psychosocial support to refugee population. The total of 6 individuals from Beldangi and 2 from Sansichare received counselling in this week.
- AMDA along with CBOs representative participated in one day UNHCR and Partners Strategic Planning conducted by UNHCR on 13th March, 2024 at Kathmandu whereas SMC representative also participated in meeting through virtual media.
- Monitor CBOs Activities: National Campaign on Measeles/Rubella Vaccination(9 months to 18 years) where the children of ECDC and below years of Sansichare Settlements received vaccination at Hirak Basic School on 13th March, 2023 with coordination of Ward-10 Basic Health Center, Pathri-Sansichare Municiplity. The initial coordination on World Water Day Celebration started with content and theme sharing with awareness sessions planned. Futher detail events and budget meeting is planned for coming week.
CBOs/SMC
- AMDA observed BRAD in organization of training on disability at Sansichare settlements with participation of SMC members, CBOs members and community on 15th March, 2024. The content on training consisted of introduction to disability, types of disability, classification of disability(Mild, Moderate, Severe and Profound) and provisions by Nepal Government for person with disability. The presence of representative of Women and Children Departmnet as well as Disability Identification Unit of Pathri-Sansichare Municipality provided information on coordination for inclusion in various services which can be managed from local level such as screening of ANC mother for early detection of disability traits, newborn examination and support in assistive devices(Wheel Chair, Crutches etc).
