Program/Health:
- Psychosocial Counselor provide psychosocial support to refugee population every Monday and Tuesday in Beldangi settlements whereas Thursday in Sansichare settlements per week. The total of 3 individuals with 1 follow up from Beldangi and 3 individuals from Sansichare received counselling in this week. Also at AMDA Hospital (Wednesday) she counselled 2 National individuals.
- AMDA along with SMC and CBOs of both settlements participated in meeting organized and facilitated by UNHCR on 6th May regarding Innovation Fund for organization of refugees.
- AMDA along with 39 representatives from Damak Municipality, Damak Police Station, LWF, SMC, and CBOs of both settlements participated in One day Refresher Training on GBV, PSEA and Anti-Fraud organized and facilitated by UNHCR on 7th May at Hotel Kamakshya, Damak. The terminologies, law and support system in relation to GBV was informed.
- AMDA visited and coordinated with Health Inusrance Board, Province 1, Biratnagar on 9th April regarding issues of non renewal of Health Insurance of those who paid premium to enrolment assistant and photo capture. The list of all the family was shared with Health Insurance Board for immediate actions and new recruited enrolment assistant started to support for photo capture.
CBOs/SMC
- BRCF staffs and committee with AMDA participated in meeting organized by UNHCR on 8th May at Hotel Kamakshya, Damak with discussion on Best Interest Assessment(BIA), KOBO data, Vulnerable children matrix.
- BRAD of Beldangi started the construction of tube well for water supply under UNHCR support. The tube well installation is being done as of today with the necessary supplies.
- BRWF of Beldangi was involved in distribution of medicine on National Campaign of Filariasis Prevention targeted for Jhapa District at each sector from 8th May for 5 days. AMDA monitored the activites on 9th April and till today total of 942 refugees received DEC(Diethylcarbamazine) and Deworming tablets. Most of the school going children received medicine at their respective schools. This year Morang district was not targeted for the similar campaign.
